Monday Night Football

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? (This past Monday night Xaine sure was) His school opened it's doors to students and family to come nosh, socialize and enjoy some good ol fashioned pig skin fun. While I enjoy Futbol, American Football is...well, a sport I have really no clue about (aside from the fact that the Superbowl has some pretty cool commercials). So how/why was my offspring so adamant that we attend this event? I'll tell you why; Jaxson de Ville (the Jaguars mascot) was to make an appearance. This was a totally awesome meet and greet experience in his eyes. An ironic and interesting tid bit of information (for those who do not already know) the house that we recently purchased was previously owned by the in laws of said Jaxson de Ville. In fact, Xaine has not only met but also hung out with Curtis (a.k.a. Jaxson de Ville) in person. However, trying to explain to a 6 year old that he has met the man behind the mask was a hard concept for him to grasp. Not about to disappoint my little man, we piled into the Escape and took a brief ride to the school. Seated with soda in hand and the pre-game show on the theatre size screen, the doors to the cafeteria flew open revealing a 8.5 Paws (about 7 feet tall), 403lbs (not a whisker more) Jaxson de Ville. He sped on his rollerblades around the room several times, riling up the crowd, before finally taking a seat so he could sign some autographs. Like a cartoon flash of smoke, Xaine high tailed it over to Jaxson de Ville. With utter amazement he spelled his name 'X-A-I-N-E'. His face glowed with an ear to ear grin when he was handed his autographed factoid sheet.
