A 'Play Day'

Not even scattered showers will detour the Kindergarteners of Greenland Pines Elementary from competing in their 'Play Day'. With a slight change of venue indoors (Multipurpose Room) these energetic young athletes are ready to demonstrate their dexterity, agility and speed in order to take First Place and be awarded the coveted Otter Pop grand prize. As Coach Wallace covers the event rules with the 6 eager opposing teams (Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Purple and BLUE), Xaine and his fellow BLUE Teammates take their marks. 'Ready, Set.... Go' the Coach exclaims, and the contestants are off. GO XAINE GO XAINE GO!!! mutes the other parents' cheers... Working together the BLUE team aggressively takes on their competitors in the:
  • Crate Race
  • Ice Cream Scoop Race
  • Potato Sack Race
  • Scooter Dash

And the Victors are...... the BLUE team.... That's my little All Star for ya...

The Space In Between

Crazy to think that only a few weeks ago (based on some friendly schoolmate advice) my baby boy asked "Dadoo, is my tooth blue? Cause when your teeth turn blue it means they are ready to come out" Now after some persistent wiggle wiggle wiggle and an extreme amount of patience on Xaine's part, I find myself with dental floss wrapped around my boys tooth. He asks "Will it hurt?.... Don't pull it hard" with a slightly fearful/uncertain tone. I respond with a reassuring "Nope, won't pull it out hard at all" and with a swift tug....... His ity bity tooth is out leaving a cute little space in between.
