Ry defines ‘Cupid’ that in the American present, he is the icon of recession and economic struggles. I mean think about it. Each February he promotes a purchasing frenzy in the attempt to attain that one special gift showing love and devotion through fear. YES FEAR… can any of you honestly say that happening upon a little person clad in Paper Mache wings and pointing a bow/arrow at you wouldn’t make you need the same brand of diaper that he is sporting?
Ok, Ok… cynical blogging aside… We could all use more days like February 14th where we just let those around us know how much we care. And tell you what; having such a handsome and charismatic boy as I do I wasn’t one bit surprised that his Valentine Bag was j
am packed with “Will you Be Mine’s?” and Conversation Hearts. Being the 5 year old boy that he is (still holding on the absolute truth that girls have cooties) he could have cared less about the handmade Valentine from Isabella …. OOOOOooooOO H. (tell you what, when that day does come and Xaine no longer feels girls have cooties I’m sure he will be ever so happy silently making honey at a secluded Monastery)Here's wishing you all the greatest of love…. And if you see Cupid… RUUUUUUUnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!

"Cupid...when I think of romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon"!!
Our grandson is going to be a "heart" breaker!
Love and Miss You Boys! :)
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
Oh Ryan......you never cease to amaze me with your thought inducing comments. You are just jealous that Xaine got the homemade valentine and you didn't. They don't generally discover the "hot dad" concept till around 13! Happy Valentines Day to you both and make sure you brush your teeth after you eat all the candy.
Too cute! I am with him, though. Screw the card & eat the candy :) Miss you guys! Thank you so much for checking in on us..sorry I missed your call yesterday. I will try you this weekend.
What? You can't get cooties? This news is like when I learned there is no Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy (and by the way I just heard a story about a "ball fairy")and all the other lies that landed me in lifetime therapy.
Love, Auntie Confused
I like to refer to it as, "Single Awareness Day." (Not that I'm not happily single). :)
You are an amazing writer Ry.
Love and miss you both Tons and Tons!
