'Deputy Orange' Belt

The past three months have sure flown by and once more we find ourselves at Pak’s Karate Academy. Tonight (February 2nd) my little man will be testing for advancement to his ‘Deputy Orange’ belt (Orange belt with a center White stripe)… Yelling ‘Yes Sir!!!’ he takes his place among his peers to demonstrate his ever advancing techniques around the required 3 One Step moves. Upon completion of the One Step portion of the testing a new element has been added to promote his continued advancement ‘Sparing’… ‘See-Jak, Go!’ instructs Mister Devlin and the Blocking, Punching and Kicking begins (A no contact demo… but still an amazing sight to see).

Hope the last video didn’t leave you to ‘BOARD’ cause if you hadn’t guessed it is time for Xaine to break his 2nd ‘BOARD'. A few practice kicks to Mister Devlin’s hand, a vocal ‘KIAI’, and the power of his kick thrusts his heel through the board with a prominent snap. (Um… I should really consider taking Karate before he tries that kick on his Dadoo)

Boards divided , bows and high fives given it’s time for Master Nathan and Master Johnson to deliberate and present new belts to those whom will be progressing in rank… hearing his name Xaine, with all the confidence of a 5 year old, struts forward and with arms out to his sides proudly smiles as his new belt is securely fashioned around his waist.
